Basic Food Packages: Sharing Festive Joy With 32 Families in Probolinggo
In 2025, PT Magicsoft Technology Indonesia shared 32 basic food packages with underprivileged families in Probolinggo, East Java, as part of our Festive & Cultural Support CSR programme.
Sharing is at the heart of every celebration. In 2025, PT Magicsoft Technology Indonesia delivered basic food packages to 32 underprivileged families in Probolinggo, East Java, bringing a little extra comfort and festive joy to households in need.
This activity is part of our Festive & Cultural Support programme, one of the pillars of Magicsoft’s corporate social responsibility work across Southeast Asia.

Three Years of Growing Together in Indonesia
2025 marks the third year of operations for PT Magicsoft Technology Indonesia, our team based in Malang, East Java. From the very beginning, we have worked with a simple belief: a company grows best when it grows together with its employees and the community around it.
Our daily work is building software. But we also know that technology is only part of what makes a community strong. Families need food on the table, neighbours need to look out for one another, and businesses have a role to play in both.
That spirit of synergy between company, employees and community is what led us to this year’s programme.
Why We Chose to Share Basic Food Packages
Rising living costs affect everyone, but they weigh most heavily on families with limited income. For these households, staples like rice and cooking essentials can take up a large share of the monthly budget.
Basic food packages offer direct, practical help. They ease the pressure on a family’s budget, free up money for other needs such as school or health, and bring a sense of being cared for by the wider community.
Giving food is also deeply rooted in Indonesian culture. Throughout the year’s festive seasons, sharing meals and essentials with neighbours is a cherished tradition. Our programme honours that tradition of gotong royong, or mutual help, in a simple and meaningful way.
Delivering 32 Basic Food Packages in Probolinggo
This year, the programme took place in Probolinggo City, not far from our office in Malang. We prepared 32 basic food packages, one for each of the 32 families who received support.
Each package included rice and a bag of everyday food staples, packed in reusable Magicsoft tote bags carrying a simple message of thanks. The packages were prepared in advance and then handed over directly to each family.

An Employee-Led Act of Care
What makes this programme special is that it was led personally by one of our own employees. From preparing the packages to handing them over door to door, the activity was carried out with genuine care for each family.
This reflects the kind of culture we want to build at Magicsoft. CSR is not only a company budget line. It is also our people taking initiative, using their local knowledge, and showing up for the community they live in.
Personal handovers also matter. Receiving support face to face, with a handshake and a kind word, makes the gesture feel like a neighbour helping a neighbour rather than a distant donation.
A Tradition We Want to Continue
Our hope is that this activity does not end in 2025. As stated in our CSR report by Irwan Hikmah Bayu Permadi, Director of PT Magicsoft Technology Indonesia, we want to keep this programme going year after year, for the good of our company and of humanity more broadly.
Looking ahead, we aim to grow the programme step by step: reaching more families, involving more of our team members as volunteers, and continuing to support the festive and cultural traditions that bring communities together.
Part of Magicsoft’s Wider CSR Commitment
Sharing basic food packages is one of several ways Magicsoft gives back. Across our offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Myanmar, our CSR programmes focus on education, health, the environment, community development and responsible business.
In Malaysia, for example, we support primary school students through our education and digital literacy initiatives. Each programme is different, but they share the same goal: making a real, lasting difference for the people around us.
