Administrative

The chief administration tools can be found under the Administrative module. These tools allow the user to execute administration tasks such as managing user roles which determine the level of accessibility a personnel has to Skylines. Existing user roles have been categorized into a matrix that is readily available for the user to view and modify.

Important news can be managed to allow personnel to conveniently browse through the latest news when they log into Skylines. Additionally, relevant links can be displayed at the login page to direct personnel to other informative websites.

User Management

Users can access the User Management to search for other users based on role and location.

Key words can be typed into the text box and after clicking “Go”, will display the list of users associated with the key word.

The specific user can be selected which then displays the relevant information about the user.

Emails, passwords, location and user role can be changed here.

The profile photo of the user can also be uploaded from here.

User Account Settings brings the user to his own account where he may change his password.

Create New User allows new users to be created.

After inputting all relevant information of the user such as password, role and photo, the new user will be ready for any personnel to enter Skyline.

Instructor

Users who access the instructor module can find New Planning here.

All appropriate information of a flight can be created and modified directly from the given drop down menus.

Some of the information that can be accessed consists of the syllabus, aircraft details, sortie and pilot.

Authorization of the flight is required by the authorized user before it can be
carried out.

Next, Admin Time Entry shows the hours the user had worked for the date.
Similarly the details can be accessed easily and changed accordingly.

Searching the hours for other staff can also be done easily through the search
box.

My Duty Time displays a list of all dates for the month, showing the amount of
duty time the user had been scheduled. The date can be changed by clicking on “Edit” which brings the user to another module, where he may edit his duty time.

Personal Flying Hour allows the user to search for the flying hour of any staff by typing in the name or choosing from the drop down list.

Human Resource

Staff related modules can be found under the Human Resource module.

Staff Leave Roster Types allows the user to edit the various types of leave available and also create new types of leave. The duration of each type of leave can be easily changed by clicking on the desired type of leave.

Staff Performance Report allows the user to select from various options using the drop down menu to display criteria specific reports regarding the performance of staff members. The reports can also be conveniently selected to be exported into Microsoft Excel file format.

Staff Leave Roster Management brings the user to a matrix where the department and location of staff can be selected from the drop down menu. The specific date of the staff leave can be chosen across the matrix and easily set by choosing leave type and duration.

Staff Personal Information allows the user to search for any staff and displaying all particulars of the staff. All particulars can be conveniently changed within the relevant text boxes or drop down menus.

Other modules such as Staff Leave Roster Report, Staff Summary Report,
National Holiday and Administrative Time can also be found under the Human Resource Module.

Instructor Records

Various modules relating to Instructors can be found here.

Duty Time Management allows the user to search for staff and after which displays the duty time schedule of the staff. The staff status, month and year of the schedule can be changed easily from the drop down menus.

Instructor’s Qualification Profile allows the user to check the qualification of the staff accordingly

Instructor License and Navigation Aids Currency allows the user to change various key dates of a selected staff. All changes can be made easily by using the calendar or inputting the date directly into the text box.

Instructor Flying History shows the beginning to end date of flying for the staff. Similarly, all changes can be made easily through the calendar and drop down menus.

Duty Time Report, Briefing and Instructor License and Navigation Aids Currency

Report are some other modules that can found under the Instructor Records module as well.

Student

The Student module consists primarily of student related information.

Student Information displays all personal details about the student after the user enters the name of the student into the search box. All details within can be modified and the sub menus can be expanded easily by clicking on them. These sub menus include but not limited to education and flying experience.

Graduation Summary allows the user to view and edit graduation details for any year.

Student Course Details shows the course phases the student has completed. The user can easily edit the date using the calendar beside each text box under the phase.

CASA License allows the user to search for the desired course, which would display the list of students as well as relevant information.

CASA License Report shows the report for the particular course. The user can conveniently select the course from the drop down menu.

Various other modules include Student Name List, Student License Medical, Student Accommodation Report, Student List Image, Student Leave, Moved Course and Student License Medical Report.

Progress

The Progress Module contains various modules pertaining to the progress of the student in the courses.

Course Details and Status shows a list of existing courses. The user may search for a specific course and view its details as well as the students taking the course. Additionally the details of the course may be modified and conveniently saved to reflect the changes.

There are several other modules that display reports such as Student Flying History Report, Student Latency Report and Student Status Report.

The Progress Module contains various modules pertaining to the progress of the student in the courses.

Course Details and Status shows a list of existing courses. The user may search for a specific course and view its details as well as the students taking the course. Additionally the details of the course may be modified and conveniently saved to reflect the changes.

There are several other modules that display reports such as Student Flying History Report, Student Latency Report and Student Status Report.

Syllabus

The Syllabus comprises mainly of competency related modules.

These competency courses include the course structure of CASA, Civil Aviation Safety Authority. CASA has over 100 years of flight experience in the aviation industry and has achieved a very high standard in terms of Australian aviation. Upon completion of the CASA course, a certificate will be awarded which is recognized in many countries.

Sortie planning can be created and edited easily within the syllabus. After searching for the relevant sortie, the user may make the desired changes to it. Each sortie is categorized according to the sortie number, aspect of sortie, single or dual flying and the phase.

Planned Route show the specific route names of each sortie. Destination codes and route numbers are clearly stated here.

The Achievement Master lists the particular records for each achievement. Different elements of competency are distinctly categorized according to their description.

The standard of each competency can also be modified easily by clicking on the competency and then editing the standard.

End of Stage Report and Syllabus Matrix can also be found under the Syllabus module where they can be edited respectively.

Flight Scheduling

The comprehensive Flight Schedule shows all schedules that had been planned for the hours of the day.

Users can easily select the date from the calendar and subsequently make changes to the roster by easy click and drag operations

The various operations include but not limited to Baron and Cessna sorties, solo navigations and circuits.

Prioritized aircrafts will also be displayed after clicking on “Priority”, revealing all aircraft status.

When scheduling is done, verification of the roster is conveniently accessible by clicking on “Verify Ctrl+F9”. This ensures that the modified schedule does not conflict with any existing constrains.

Lead Cadet Sheet can be found within the flight scheduling module. It shows the list of cadets and instructors for the specific date and location.

The sortie request is readily available for editing, allowing the user to request for relevant sorties.

Cadet status’ can be changed easily through simple clicking and selection of options through drop down menus.

Clicking on the “Preview” button will display the final lead cadet sheet, conveniently removing all unwanted labels and buttons.

Ground School Report

First on the module is Ground School Subject, which lists all the theoretical subjects for aviation.

Each subject has been classed specifically according to its name, subtype and number of tests required.

All details of the subjects can be displayed and conveniently edited by clicking on “Edit”.

Ground School Programme brings the user to a matrix of subjects corresponding to the week and hours to complete for that week.

The user can easily create or change the number of hours for a subject by clicking within the matrix.

The order of the subjects can also be modified easily by click and drop operations.

House Master Comment allows the user to search for any student and simultaneously displays the given information about the student.

The personal qualities of a student can be graded here, from a level of 0 to 6, pertaining to qualities such as discipline and leadership. Comments can be added to the comment box and after clicking on “Preview” will display the final report of the student.

Various reports of other aspects can also be found under the Ground School Report module.

Engineering

JDK Engineering

Under the JDK Engineering module, the user has access to various engineering modules related to Jandakot airport.

Priority module displays the details of priority aircraft. It shows information such as the 100 Hourly Due and the Current Hours of the aircraft.

Aircrafts of both Jandakot and Singapore can be searched as well as choosing the specific date.

Maintenance Schedule allows the user to plan the maintenance for the month.

The planning can be easily done by clicking on the desired grid of the matrix, consisting of the aircraft type and date. After which a dialogue box appears and the user may choose the location and type of maintenance, including a side comment that may be added for reference.

Maintenance Log Entry – JDK allows the user to view and edit the log entry of the aircraft maintenance.

The Unserviceable Entry – JDK module shows information of aircrafts that are unable to be serviced.

Aircraft Data Log Entry, Maintenance Release and Aircraft Utilization Report are some of the other modules that are located under the JDK Engineering module.

SIN Engineering

SIN Engineering module consists of Singapore related engineering modules.

Maintenance Log Entry – SIN allows the user to search for aircrafts and view details about its maintenance.

The user can easily edit details of the maintenance such as Date and Next Check Hours.

Maintenance Log Report – SIN allows the user to view and edit the report on the maintenance.

The Unserviceable Entry – SIN module shows information of aircrafts in Singapore that are unable to be serviced.

Financial

The Financial module comprises of pecuniary related modules. All reports can easily interface with Accpac, a highly recognized software application in the accounting industry. The user may search and edit the fees of each course in addition to the different phases of payment which must be concluded by the due date.

Total flying hours of selected periods can be looked up to display the total costs incurred by students flying for different courses.

Invoices of various payments may also be viewed including the generation of new invoices. Details of existing invoices can be modified accordingly and exported into XML format to be interfaced with Accpac. Invoices can also be compiled into official reports that allow the viewer to browse through the critical details quickly.

Duty Instructor

Duty Instructor consists of the roster plan of instructors.

The user can either access Load Today’s Plan or Load Yesterday’s Plan which brings the user to a matrix of the roster schedule.

The location and date of the roster can be changed to the user’s preference.

The user can intuitively select the desired grid consisting of the aircraft and time.

After which the user inputs the relevant details of the sortie.

Additionally, the user may maker several customizations to the schedule such as highlighting certain sorties. The user may also check if the current schedule is conflicting with any known constrains.

Finally, the user needs to approve the schedule for it to reflect the final roster.

Aircraft

The Aircraft module comprises of information on the available aircrafts.

Aircraft Type shows the details of aircraft categorized according to their engine type, engine number and a remark.

The user may easily view and change these details by clicking on “Edit”.

Aircraft Details consist of more detailed information pertaining to each aircraft.

Details such as the registration number, total timing service and 100 hours check can be found here along with several other general details. Similarly all details can be viewed and changed easily.
